How it works and how long it takes.
1. Moisture-test the slab first. A damp slab will not bond, so we measure it and confirm it is dry enough to coat.
2. Diamond-grind the surface to a clean, textured profile so the epoxy has something to grip.
3. Repair cracks, spalls, and low spots so the finished floor is flat and even.
4. Apply a primer, then the color or flake coat for the look you want.
5. Seal with a clear topcoat and let it cure fully before you park or walk on it.
Total time. A standard two-car garage takes 1 to 2 days from start to finish. Prep is most of the first day; coating and cure fill the second. You can walk on it the next day, but we recommend 24 to 72 hours before driving on it.
What changes it. Total time changes with slab condition, square footage, and weather. Heavy cracks, oil stains, or moisture add prep time. High humidity or cool nights slow the cure.
